Christmas Menu and Christmas to go

Let us present a Christmas dinner with carefully chosen products from local producers. Our whole staff contributes by picking berries, fruit, mushroom and herbs during summer and fall. Henrik Norstöm, Daniel Frick and their hunting team makes sure there is game for the fall and winter. We also make our own Christmas aquavit and we pick vegetables and mushroom during late summer. Welcome to Lux Dag för Dag by Mälaren and enjoy a Chrismas dinner made with love.

This year we will do our utmost to make you feel as Corona safe as possible dining here. We will keep distances between our parties, we are open weekdays from 11.30 and the whole afternoon and night. If you do not want to sit in a full dining room our suggestion is to arrive in the afternoon. We do not have specific arriving hours but will see to it that not too many parties arrive at the same time and hopefully not leave at the same time either. On Saturdays and Sundays we open at 2 p.m. We will, this year, serve the Christmas menu at the table so that our guests can stay at their table. Call us if you have any questions. Welcome!

First serving
Cured herring with whitefish roe
Mustard herring
Creamy Swedish ripe cheese herring with ramson and dill
Herring with sea buckthorn, cinnamon and dill
Elderberry flavoured herring with fennel
Lux smoked rainbow salmon with rapeseed mayonnaise
Smoked archipelago salmon and pickled cucumber
Malt- and coriander cured archipelago salmon
And: Sour cream, red onion, capers, boiled potato, bread and ripe cheese

Second serving
Smoked saithe with baked egg, warm mayonnaise and rye bread crutons

Third serving
Fallow deer steak with green pepper
Lux chicken liver paté with cornichons
Ham roasted with spices and mustard
Smoked deer steak
Air dried loin of pork
Celery salad with roasted walnuts
Pickled mushrooms

Fourth serving
Game meatballs
Christmas flavoured small sausages
Tenderly fried flitch of pork with star anise, honey and garlic
Rosemary roasted Jerusalem artichoke and apple
Green pepper roasted pumpkin with citronette
And: Jansson’s temptation and caraway flavoured pickled cabbage

Fifth serving
Cheese: Löfsta blå, Femme fatale, Havus, Lux plum marmalade and crisp bread

Sixth serving
Lux cheese cake with jam and whipped cream
Chocolate mousse with apricot and caramelized nuts
Sticky toffee pudding with salt toffee sauce
Rhum caramelized pineapple with vanilla custard

Seventh serving:
Carrot marmalade with cinnamon sugar
Homemade salt cream vanilla toffee
Mint chocolate praline
